Farmers Arms no.18

Farmers Arms no.18

Our lush new Farmers no.18 table designed to tuck neatly away for those smaller spaces.

We were inspired by that warm hug you get from an old school west country pub lunch - open fire, a pint (or two) and a warming plate of something comforting. It's classic, simple old English styling with a few subtle details thrown in for good measure. It's a proper lovely, oaky little set up. Lush is the word.

Made to order, and built to last here in our Devon workshop using locally grown oak. A fine new addition to our small Yaffle and Bosk family.

    THE WOOD : English Oak.

We use locally sourced west country solid oak as standard for this lovely piece which is full of interesting patterns and grain variations.  Highly figurative timber results in each and every table being completely unique! As with all our tables we could make this for you using other timbers such as English ash or sweet chestnut (please do contact us for availability and more information). We make a point of wire brushing the wood prior to applying the finish oil to leave a lovely tactile feel and depth to the grain.

THE LEG STYLE: A traditional braced X frame. We use solid 3”x2” oak, hand jointed and finished to match your top.

THE FINISHES : We offer hard wearing clear oil or a lime washed look as standard but many other tinted oils are available on request. We can even paint the frame for a completely different look! Do get in touch if you have something particular in mind.

    Rubio Monocoat: Tint Chart

UK England and Wales mainland £200* (restrictions apply).

Your table will be made to order so please expect a lead time of 6-8 weeks. Due to the size and weight of this table it will require simple assembly on delivery.

If you’d like any of our family of tables in size or finish, or specific timber, not listed in our shop please don't hesitate to get in touch. We’d be more than happy to explore the options with you. If, on the other hand, you have an idea for a completely different design or would like us to come up with something unique, whether it be a single slab or resin river table, please do let us know. We love to talk tables and will do our best to advise on budgets, available timbers, and finish options to suit.

In the world of UK grown and sourced timbers, availability is sporadic and uncertain. As interesting or rare timbers become available we will look to buy what we can to make available to our customers in the form of limited runs or completely unique one-off pieces. This will be listed online, but don't hesitate to get in touch and ask what we might have tucked away on our timber racks!
