OUR STORY

Born in 2021, Yaffle & Bosk handcrafts high quality, low mileage furniture with more than just a little bit of soul.

As a business, we aim to just keep things… uncomplicated. We proudly produce our furniture with sustainable local hardwoods, crafting each piece to withstand everything a modern family can throw at it.

ROB WILLIAMS, YAFFLE & BOSK FOUNDER

Yaffle & Bosk was created by Rob Williams, a skilled and creative craftsman with over 15 years of experience running his independent carpentry/joinery business. After years of working on many and varied commissions from high-end bespoke kitchens to fitted furniture to festival seating projects, the COVID pandemic slowed things up and gave Rob some time to contemplate… Yaffle & Bosk was born!

SIMPLE, SUSTAINABLE, BETTER

From our workshop set in the beautiful Venn Valley vineyard in North Devon, we're all about keeping it simple. Yaffle & Bosk creates high quality, low mileage furniture handcrafted with more than just a little bit of soul. We use sustainable local hardwoods sourced from trees that have come to their natural end of life, are felled because they are dangerous or simply windblown, and, unlike most of our competitors, we choose not to use timber or components shipped halfway around the world if at all possible. When you have superb independent sawmills and artisan steel fabricators on your doorstep, why would you not work with them!

We have tailored a small family of Yaffle & Bosk designs to choose from and will feature limited runs, inspired one-offs and also invite commissions for bespoke pieces. Every single thing we produce is made (that's made, not manufactured) to order here in Devon, with absolute love and intention.
