THE WOOD : English Oak.
We use locally sourced west country solid, chunky 2” oak for the frames and 1.5" for the top which is full of interesting patterns and grain variations. Highly figurative timber results in each and every table being completely unique! As with all our tables we could make this for you using other timbers such as English ash or sweet chestnut (please do contact us for availability and more information). We make a point of wire brushing the wood prior to applying the finish oil to leave a lovely tactile feel and depth to the grain.
THE LEG STYLE: A square, 90 degree frame. We use solid 4”x2” oak, hand jointed and finished to match your top.
THE FINISHES : We offer hard wearing clear oil or a lime washed look as standard but many other tinted oils are available on request. We can even paint the frames for a completely different look! Do get in touch if you have something particular in mind.
