Description
Effortless Scandi Style, Handcrafted in Devon
After quietly waiting in the wings, we’re proud to welcome the Skylark No.14 to the Yaffle & Bosk collection. Inspired by the serene beauty of a summer’s day—where time slows, the breeze is soft, and the gentle song of the skylark fills the air—this table captures that feeling in timeless, minimalist form.
With clean Scandinavian lines and a beautifully pale, washed-out finish, this solid ash oak dining table brings calm, clarity, and warmth to any interior. Crafted by hand in our Devon workshop using sustainably sourced, locally grown ash, the Skylark No.14 is built to order, built to last, and designed to be loved for generations.
The Wood: English Ash or English Oak
We use locally sourced west country solid ash as standard for this lovely piece which is full of pinky, orangey hues mixed with very pale tones. Highly figurative timber results in each and every table being completely unique! As with all our tables we could make this for you using other timbers such as English oak (please do contact us for availability and more information).
The Top
We’ve gone for 1.5″ stock for this one, which finishes at around 32mm thick. A planked style top made up of multiple boards glued together. We supply in two sections with a subtle groove detail running along the middle (we can supply with a tradition single section/no groove if preferred).
The Leg Style
A traditional braced A frame with dowelled stretcher. We use solid 4”x2” ash, hand jointed and finished to match your top.
The Finishes
To maintain that natural washed out ash vibe this table features our amazing ‘invisible finish’ but can just as easily be finished in warmer oiled tones with oak (or even stained jet black or white!). We can even paint the frame for a completely different look! Do get in touch if you have something particular in mind.

Your Place in the Workshop
Each Yaffle & Bosk piece begins with the careful sourcing of British-grown hardwood — hand selected for its beauty, character and provenance. Once found, it’s prepared and crafted by hand with care — and that takes time.
The timeline below gives an indication of the number of commission slots we have available and the corresponding delivery time. We operate on an 8-10 week lead time, but our schedule shifts with the seasons, depending on availability of materials and workshop capacity, so if you have a specific deadline in mind — or simply want to start the conversation — we’d love to hear from you.
