Meet Bumble Bee No.16 – Compact, Clever, and Full of Character
Say hello to Bumble Bee No.16, the latest buzz-worthy addition to the Yaffle & Bosk collection. Born from a special request to blend the refined detailing of our Mr Morley table with the sleek, minimalist styling of the Nook, this clever design is as versatile as it is charming.
Designed for modern living where space is at a premium, Bumble Bee No.16 transforms effortlessly from a stylish, functional desk by day to a welcoming dining space for 3–4 people by night. Perfect for kitchen corners, studio apartments, or cosy nooks, this compact table proves that small spaces can still make a big statement.
Handcrafted to order in our Devon workshop using sustainably sourced, locally grown ash and oak, Bumble Bee No.16 is built to last and made to measure. The table shown here is 1200mm x 800mm, but like all our pieces, it can be customised to perfectly suit your space and lifestyle.
The Timber: English Oak & Ash
We use locally sourced west country solid ash and oak as standard for this beauty. Highly figurative timber results in each and every table being completely unique! As with all our tables we could make this for you using a mix of other timbers. Just say the word!
The Top
We’ve gone for 1.5″ oak for this one, which finishes at around 32mm thick. A planked style top made up of multiple boards glued together.
The Frame Style
A solid trapezoid frame in painted ash with feature pegged oak stretcher.
The Finishes
Frames expertly hand finished in a Little Greene Paint Co eggshell colour of your choice (shown in Obsidian Green) and a super durable clear hardwax finish on the lovely hand brushed oak. A fab mix and match!

Colours
Our Bumble Bee No.16 frames can be hand-painted in any colour from The Little Greene Paint Company. To help you decide, we’ve put together a handy online paint chart.
If you’ve already chosen your colour, please add the colour name to Colour Choice field above or to the Order Notes at checkout.
If you have a specific colour in mind that isn’t listed in our chart, just get in touch before placing your order — we may still be able to accommodate it.
Need more time to decide? If you’ve fallen for the table but aren’t quite ready to choose a colour, no problem — you can still go ahead and place your order. We’ll send you a paint chart in the post so you can take your time deciding. Just let us know your choice when you’re ready.

Your Place in the Workshop
Each Yaffle & Bosk piece begins with the careful sourcing of British-grown hardwood — hand selected for its beauty, character and provenance. Once found, it’s prepared and crafted by hand with care — and that takes time.
The timeline below gives an indication of the number of commission slots we have available and the corresponding delivery time. We operate on an 8-10 week lead time, but our schedule shifts with the seasons, depending on availability of materials and workshop capacity, so if you have a specific deadline in mind — or simply want to start the conversation — we’d love to hear from you.
